E. EXCEL believes in excellence! So much so, that Dr. Jau-Fei Chen named the company E. EXCEL, which stands for 'Extra Excellence!'
We believe in Excellence in research, ingredients, manufacturing, packaging and service, and in going above and beyond what is expected of us. Over 25 years, we have built a "Legacy of Excellence," and we will continue to strive for Excellence in all that we do.
When Dr. Jau-Fei Chen founded E. EXCEL International in 1987, she did so with a vision of helping people around the world maintain their health, find purpose and value in their lives and achieve their financial goals.
Who is Dr Jau-Fei Chen?
"I Dream of a world without disease. Where every child, rosy-cheeked, flies in barefoot abandon. Where lives are lived long and full. And when the sun rises and sets, only laughter is heard."

Born in Taiwan, Dr Jau-Fei Chen's family moved to the US when she was 10. She was one of the youngest graduate at Brigham Young University, USA. At the tender age of 15, she was introduced to the fascinating world of Immunology and Microbiology. This marked her foray into cancer research.
The importance of preventing cancer became increasingly clear as she progressed further into cancer research. Through an encouter with a final-stage cancer patient who had given up hope on medicine, she realised that prevention is the best cure for any disease. Eating right will help prevent many diseases, including cancer. She found the answer to preventive healthcare in the science of Nutritional Immunology.
Dr Jau-Fei Chen is not one to rest on her laurels despite having received many international awards and accolades for her excellent contributions as a scientist and entrepreneur. Driven by passion and compassion, she continues to pursue her dream of a world without disease.
Academic Journey
Dr Chen's impressive academic journey began as she became the youngest graduate of her high school, graduating with honors as class valedictorian at age 15.
Continuing her education, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology, with a minor in chemistry at age 19 from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
She received her Masters of Science degree in microbiology, with a minor in biochemistry. Before long, she accomplished her long-term goal and received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in microbiology, with an emphasis in Immunology at the age of 26. She also taught Immunology at BYU for 5 years.
Dr Chen is devoted to building strong families. As a mother, she is devoted to her husband and children. As a scientist and businesswoman, she is dedicated to strengthening the E.Excel family. As a philanthropist and educator, she recognizes her obligation to serve and teach the world family. She is a woman who will not give up until she reaches her goal — a better world for her children, and for the children of the world.
Dr Chen understands that world improvement begins in the home, within an immediate family. While at Brigham Young University, Dr Chen met and married Rui-Kang Zhang, a talented musician who shared her dreams of bettering society and raising a family. She and Rui-Kang are the parents of two daughters and one son. In that role, they diligently strive to teach their children the values of integrity, respect, education, service, and self-discipline in the hope that they, too, will excel and become positive role models for others.
In order to maintain unity despite hectic schedules, Dr Chen and Rui-Kang have incorporated the principles of cooperation and flexibility into their family. By assuming many of the management responsibilities at E.Excel, Rui-Kang creates a way for Dr Chen to devote time to their children as well as fulfill her role in E.Excel.
